*And I’m not Judy.
Here’s my list so far:
•Deep fried chicken feet. In Rain or Shine the actors actually eat them with plastic gloves, but that doesn’t sway me. Nope.
•Sliced octopus dipped in sesame oil and wrapped with spicy green onions. I won’t eat octopus since I watched ‘My Octopus Teacher’. Enough said.
•Liver and lungs. Never. Actually, I grew up in a household that served liver and onions, and I didn’t eat it then either.
Judy here: Asians frequently feature foods that Americans are not interested in. For me - after watching Hometown Cha Cha Cha where the owner of the restaurant particularly savored the eyeballs on a fish - I accepted the idea that no, I would not be eating like a native Korean while visiting... Sometimes you just have to accept your failings.
Anne-Marie it sounds like you're braver than us! Enjoy.
I’ve tried the chicken feet and it’s okay. A bit chewy but taste is good. Eyeballs, I’ll pass for now. I eat octopus when I eat something with seafood but not living. Next on my list is jokbal and gopchang.
