Big mistake. I watched two Kdramas back-to-back that ended up being full of unfulfilled desire and poignancy. I was forced to increase my usual antidepressant dosage to help me through this period. Not only that but my cohort Pat wasn't particularly sympathetic.
Anti depressant? Is that a code name for chocolate? ~Pat
You don't want to avoid those tear-jerkers.... they're fabulous. I'm telling you, Kdramas are heartfelt and pull at your emotions. Just intersperse upbeat activities between them.
We need to know which ones you are talking about, Judy, so we avoid them??
Congrats to Donna for taking the plunge.... and I created an inadvertent spoiler for her (Sorry!) Diane, I have given ample suggestions to you...now it's your turn to take the plunge and simply pick one! Remember, it sometimes takes 2-3 episodes to get 'involved' in the characters. I'm forcing Youngest Son to watch Mr Sunshine with me and last night (after 7 episodes) he commented 'We may need to watch 3 episodes tonight!' ((That may put him in the running for Favorite Child Status.))
I'm with Pat! My go-to mood lifter is chocolate. I could have used some during the first episode of Navillera. This was my second attempt to start a Kdrama. Y'all are raving about the young men, especially Judy. I kinda like the 70-year-old star of Navillera. And, his gumption if inspiring. (His skin looks okay.)
Gee, now I'm really anxious to start watching Kdramas. Ha! Seriously, when I do start, please let me know which one this is so I can avoid it and start with something more benign.
