While watching Divorce Attorney Shin recently I picked up a mention of 'trot music.' Gee, never heard of it! Well, apparently Americans are late to this game. Trot music is a specific genre of music that is popular in Korea that I liken to a cross between ballads and folk music. There have been specific TV Competition Shows featuring Trot music, it's financially a big player, and well, I like it!
For your listening pleasure may I suggest 31-year old Lim Young-woong's tune called Lovely Touch.
Another option is one from the early 80's by Kang Seung-mo titled Heartlessness Blues.

Lim Young-woong
Just downloaded an album of Lim Young Woong to explore this kind music. I'm pretty new to everything Korean (since this year, started with K-drama and now I'm deep into everything: K-pop, K-beauty, K-food and planning on learning the language (I love the sound of it, it's soothing). I like BTS a lot but also there's also The Rose (4 Korean boys playing Indie-Rock) and there are a lot of OST's that are great to listen too.
Darn auto correct- I meant trot music!
Thanks - I wondered what Troy music was. Now I can explore it thanks to you. 😊
