Pat talked previously about the clenched fist; the symbol of frustration that is common to all Kdramas. Well, the slow pat is equally important! Whenever a character needs comforting you might see someone gently hug them and s-l-o-w-l-y pat them on the back. Nice, gentle pats are pretty universally seen in Kdramas. And the camera gets nice and close so you can really see the pat.
I’ve told my husband about the slow pat in K Dramas. I’m glad I’m not the only one to notice this sweet sign of comfort.
Pats on the back. or light touches, are a good, sweet, and endearing ways of showing affection or encouragement to one another. I do agree with Judy that this form of communication is usually a universally accepted form of interaction. Kudos for the observation
