What do you think of this ratio? Six bottles of soju for two drinkers? In the current show I’m watching, Life, two of the women go out for a drink, and this is what they order. Of course they get hammered. Who wouldn’t? It’s a Kdrama after all.
So here is my question for you: is that excessive?
I don’t really care how much people drink if they’re not out of control and not driving. Some people can handle a lot of alcohol. That wouldn’t be me, however. I’m good with sniffing the cork, although I don’t think soju has corks, does it?
LMK what you think! ~ Pat
Having recently visited Korea I can tell you that 6 bottles of soju for 2 would result in 'falling down drunk.' During my trip to Korea I did not see anyone this drunk... not even my drinking buddy & I got that wasted! Well, maybe we were getting close... no, we really weren't that bad.... I'm sure we were okay... ~ Judy

No clue what the spoons are for...
The 'Beer' you drank was probably Maekgolli (often served in a ceramic or metal cup). Soju is distilled similar to vodka but much less alcoholic content.
It is a spirit isn't it? When I was in SK I drank half a tin of their very refreshing beer. Liked it and bought it at home. But I am not really a drinker so gave most of it away to other people. I still haven't tasted soju. I didn't like saki when I had it years ago. (first Japanese Restaurant in Sydney). 😋
