Let's be honest.... how many of you readers use those cute, little compacts for makeup & apply with the pad that comes with it? I don't think I've seen anyone under the age of 85 using them until Kdramas came into my life. ALL the Korean women daintily apply what looks like pancake make-up to their flawless skin using these things. Is this a strictly Korean thing or has this Gmama simply not been paying attention? ~Judy

In Japan that's pretty much what's available. but the colors (even those marked as "dark" )are so light !
Aha! I read about these a while back when I got interested in Korean skincare. They're called cushion compacts. It's apparently a lightweight liquid foundation that's pressed into the compact and comes with a little sponge. I've never tried them, but here are a couple of links...
