I am an avid quilter and usually make lots of quilts throughout the year. But since I discovered Kdramas my quilt production has plummeted.
Instead of spending time in my sewing studio I find myself drawn to Netflix and the allure of the latest Kdrama episode.
I don't know if I should be relieved or concerned.
Judy, I’d be afraid…very afraid…
I cannot do anything else when watching Kdramas because I have to read the subtitles! I have purchased a Korean Language book and am s-l-o-w-l-y making progress... but not sure how realistic it will be for me to become fluent.
Also, so glad you enjoyed Navillera; such a different story line & so poignant.
As your sister-in-law and grateful recipient of your amazing quilts, I say get cracking'! Can't you watch KDramas WHILE cutting, folding, pinning, ironing, stitching, and running sewing and quilting machines?? 😜
BTW, I found Navillera very enjoyable. It was my first (successful) attempt to read while watching a KDrama. I could have kicked the younger lead a couple times, but the emotionally painful cause of his surliness corrected my attitude. The acting was superb! The storyline was poignant and humbling. Thanks for this suggestion, Judy. I'll try another one Top 5 from your 12/31/22 post.
Well, watching a Kdrama is 'getting things done.' I mean you'll be entertained, you might learn something, & you could become a fan of this blog! Don't tell me that cleaning your kitchen or organizing your closet is more important!
Simple, learn Korean and you wouldn't need to watch subtitles. You could do both!
