Out of sight, out of mind

Pat here. Currently I’m in Minneapolis where I’m staying for two months. In preparation for this trip, I shipped my Korean spoons, among other things, here. You know what I’m talking about? Yes, I’m referring to those Korean long handled, round bowl spoons that everyone uses in Kdramas. I’ve gotten so used to eating with them that I have 6 to 8 at the ready. Even my grandkids know when they are setting the table to put a Korean spoon at my spot. I really can’t do without them…or can I?

In the chaos of temporarily relocating here and settling into a new environment and a new routine, I completely forgot that I had them. I had a vague feeling that nothing felt quite right when I ate my granola, but I just couldn’t put a finger on it. (At my age, I have lots of vague feelings, but that’s another story).

Well, Kdrama buddies, I can now report that all is right with the world again. I found my spoons and am enjoying every morsel of breakfast…and lunch…and dinner…and late night snacks. Who would have thought that watching Mr. Sunshine well over two years ago would have led to this all consuming fascination with a foreign country and everything about it? Judy would have!

You bet I understand! I find myself wanting to say Aniyo rather often.... ~ Judy

Guess I'd better get rid of all my cutlery.

Since I used one of my chopsticks for something it wasn’t meant to use for, the tip is a bit bent.

I just ordered new ones including spoons and those thingies to put them on (no idea what’s that called in English and if I look it up now I have to start typing all over again).
