My Travel Advisor, posted something on Instagram that I had never heard of; Jeongwol Daeboreum events in Korea.... which is burning the moon house on the great full moon!
"On the great full moon, we make sticky rice with five grains and eat it with side dishes of cooked vegetables. At night, we burn moon houses to pray for good health and good luck in the year!"
This clearly wouldn't work in a dry area like Tucson that is prone to wildfires; but it's interesting to learn about Korean holidays and cultures! Thanks for explaining it, Song!
