One of the optional activities at our Beauty Treatment Day was to have your 'colors' analyzed. This trend hit the USA several decades ago and I successfully avoided it back then. But gee, I'm in Korea.... so why not? (Well the why not would be that if I discovered my colors were different than I expected I would have to replace my entire wardrobe with colors I hate. But I stuck my neck out...)
The process involves holding a bunch of fabrics up to your face to determine what makes your face look 'bright' or 'dull' or 'long' or 'wide.' (There were no options for '30 years younger.') We also did that with black and white....and the woman explained something about black being the 'right' one for me. However, since the woman only spoke a smidgen of English, I struggled to understand the concepts she was trying to explain... My sister was getting some sort of treatment in the room with me at the same time & I could see her shaking in laughter as I struggled to interpret what was said.
Anyway, luckily I do not have to purchase a new wardrobe. My colors are exactly what I expected. And the photos I received are so wonderful I probably will print them out & have them put above the mantel of my home. I'll let you decide which version you think are 'my' colors...
Aren't these great photos? And Pat worries that we might embarass ourselves...
Did you do this at Eco Jardin? I had it done there in May this year. I had it done years ago but I had the feeling my colours would have changed. And they did. Years ago I was blond, now my own hair is completely white but since a year I color it black with white around my face (picture at the hairdresser in SK after a hair en scalp treatment). I'm supposed to be a light summer now and I know those colors suit me (and bought several pieces already) but I can't stop wearing black beause I love wearing black. So analysis or no analysis, black stays.
Having said that, I had my colors done in Sweden in 1985, and I still wear the same ones today. I would disagree with black for you, Judy. Too severe. You need a kinder, gentler color…enough said.
Whoa, are those you???
I've known Judy for 48 years and I have never seen her wear clothes in the colors on the right!
