Perfect for the co-worker, neighbor, boss, or potential in-laws.... your gift list can be solved with one visit to one store! A pharmacy. Vitamins, supplements, and medicine are the perfect answer for those hard to please people on your list! Are they looking a bit tired? Red Ginseng! Cold Season? Decongestants. Hungover? Little bottle of hangover medicine. Just want to impress? All-purpose vitamins.
This is apparently a popular and well-received gift in Korea. They don't seem to be insulted if you imply 'gee, you look like crap.... try these.'
So forget the pocket fisherman. Forget the talking alarm clock. Forget the box of chocolates. Just go to the drugstore and pick up a huge box of supplements, or vitamins, or laxatives... No need to thank me... ~ Judy
And of course it has to come in a fabric covered package not the brown bag shown here. This unique wrapping is called “bojagi” and is usually made of silk. it’s distinctly Korean. I know a bit about the Japanese equivalent “furoshiki”, having made several for presents for friends and family. They make any gift look downright elegant, so if you’re in the market for bojagi, make one (yes, even for that hangover medicine). ~ Pat
Interestingly the term bojagi also refers to Korean Quilting.... not exclusive to the 'gift wrap' technique that Pat mentions here. Gosh, this is kind of out of the Twilight Zone, isn't it? I talk about Korean Gifts, Pat talks about Korean gift wrap, & it circles back to my hobby of quilting. Whoaaa....
And, my gifts to you will be elegantly wrapped in fancy fabric!
Thanks for the suggestions: Since we have your name for holiday gifting, I now know where to shop for you! 😜
Hi Judy, I would like to mention that the quilt you made Jessica, I am assuming of course, photographed very well on T.V. It paired well with your Mother's art work. Happy Holidays
Hi. Yes, it is that time of year again when gift giving is so important. I wish I could wrap like those beautiful gifts whatever it is called. Bojagi or Furoshiki. I won't remember the terms almost immediately, but it is nice to think of the joy gift-giving and receiving brings!!
