This is a “whew” post from Pat.
Thanks to Kdrama friend, Barbara in Minneapolis, I started watching Flower of Evil several months ago. I watched about 8 episodes and then realized my husband would enjoy it as well, so I restarted it with him. (This may be heresy, but if you rewatch something, you can also play solitaire simultaneously. Just saying…)
We’ve been in Minneapolis for the past two months and got busy with other things. Flower was almost forgotten, until Judy mentioned last week that it was leaving Netflix September 23. That got us going. For the last three days, almost all we have done is watch it… and watch it… and watch it. Last night at 10:00 pm, we wrapped up the last four episodes.
If you’ve missed it, it’s high drama and terrifyingly scary at times. And it’s so good! Somewhere I read that it is one of the top ten Kdramas, and I concur. It’s about as far away from a rom com as you can get, and it’s excellent.
Now, if you haven’t seen it and think you’ve missed your chance (this is for Julie and Steve,) it’s also on Viki!!
This gets a 10 from me; and the music is on my playlist. Fabulous show. ~ Judy
Lee Joon-gi (with fabulously evil eyes) and Moon Chae-won from Flower of Evil.
Lee Joon Gi, sigh. Yes, it was terrifying and hard to watch but soooo worth it!
So glad you liked it so much! It is so gripping, and yes... Lee Joon-gi's eyes!
Speaking of Evil.... Have you seen Beyond Evil? That's what I'm watching right now. At first, I was put off by the title, because I can only take so much evil, but it is really good. Two fabulous and contrasting male leads developing a reluctant bromance while solving a crime. I'm watching it on Viki. I don't think it's on Netflix.
Do you mean November 23 or September 23 that it is leaving Netflix? If it was really September, I didn't get the memo and missed it.
