A bit of background for you.... Pat and I were neighbors for perhaps 10 years in Tucson. She moved to California 20 years ago and we would talk or see one another a couple of times annually. That was our routine until this year; when Kdramas hit our friendship!
Since then we have been texting, calling, emailing, and visiting in person to share our passion. And I'm not talking about the occasional text; I'm talking about several texts per day and calls a couple of times weekly! What's the likelihood of being so enamored with the same thing!
That's why we started this blog...we are convinced there are loads of other people out there who have this passion (or would if they'd watch a couple of shows) and we are trying to connect. Just this morning Pat called to say she finished 'Start Up' so we could discuss the show; who we liked, analyze the characters, and how caught up Pat had been in the story. It was our time to touch base and recommend to each other our next show to watch. Great fun and we wish you'd join us!
Although we think the model here is one good looking woman. there is no way she's a grandma or looks remotely like us. When I dare to take stock and look in the mirror, I wish I looked like her, but for 75 year old me that ship has sailed. Judy and I are hoping to take a picture together in the near future. This would be a good time to insert the phrase, "Buyer beware!!" ~Pat
Okay Pat, YOU try to find photos that vaguely go with the topic we're chatting about! And of course they have to be free & high quality.... ~Judy
I STRONGLY recommend using Korean as the language with English as subtitles. Korean Language has lovely sounds & inflections that you will miss out on if you use Dubbing!
I connected with quirky Attorney Woo on long flight yesterday and found it engaging. I adapted quickly to the closed captions…quickly switching from the Korean captions with English dubbed in speaking that my Netflix download had chosen for me.
While it has not sucked me down the rabbit hole at this point, I am happy to have sipped on the KoolAid and maybe get J off my back. ♥️😎♥️
I am so thrilled to see 3 (count 'em 3) positive comments! Thank you; it does my heart good.
For us other addicts , reviews and suggestions are always appreciated. We love love our kdramas
Pat’s husband signing in here. I have only watched a few of the “Kdramas” but am hooked- maybe to a lesser extent than J and P, but am still on board for more! Keep going with the blog!
