What's your go-to treat for car trips? I'm a big fan of red licorice....chewy, not too sticky, and they last a long time.
Well, I've seen 2 Kdramas that feature dried squid as the snack of choice! Yep, large, stiff squid you can enjoy behind the wheel. Not sure if they're chewy or crisp or what... but presumably function just like my red licorice.
This is certainly causing me to rethink my trip to South Korea.... or at least rethink extended car trips while there.

It's interesting how foods we didn't grow up with seem so strange and even gross. I doubt I'll ever acquire a taste for these little darlings no matter how healthy they are as I don't care for cooked squid even in tasty dishes when I'm overseas. I can't get past the texture in my mouth and in this form they look unappealing to me.
