Every Koran household has a first aid kit. And they use it all the time! Now, I have thermometers, band-aids, Advil, aspirin, and maybe a few other things but they're kind of scattered about in various medicine cabinets. Not so in Kdramas. They have their first aid kits ready to go in little plastic boxes that contain a surplus of supplies. Of particular note are the Q-tips used to delicately swab any - and all - scratches to the skin. The most minor cut deserves this attention in their mind. And let's not forget the thoughtful Gorgeous Man blowing on these minor cuts before applying the actual bandaid. In today's show Eve one of the characters caught their finger on a rose thorn; a minor annoyance in this Gmamas' eyes but a major event in theirs. I'm convinced that the per capita expenditure on household first aid items must be many times higher in Korea than in the US.
This has led me to think that perhaps Koreans are wimps when it comes to bodily injury. Of course they do have gorgeous skin... ~Judy
Nope, mine are not bundled into a little container that I can pull out on a moment's notice!
Ethanol for dressing, swabs, ointment, and Band-Aid are K-drama essentials ㅎㅎㅎㅎㅎ
