America needs these...

There are certain things you see in Kdramas and wonder why they have not been adopted for use in the United States. One item that stands above the rest are specific face masks for restaurant workers. These nifty little things are made of clear plastic and operate like a shield for the worker's mouth and nose. The appear to be comfortable, don't seem to restrict breathing, and - bonus points - you can still see their face! I know they' don't stack up against K95 Covid masks but boy they seem to be pretty effective for normal use. Tell me why we don't have these!

When I visited China several years ago I noticed that you can turn on and off communal lights in apartment buildings by stomping your feet. No need to grope the walls looking for a switch while carrying bags of groceries!

I think the US has a lot to learn from other countries. What nifty things have you noticed elsewhere? ~ Judy
